At the cake server design „Cesi n’est pas une treulle” star designer Philippe Starck has let his fantasy and creativity flow. An object emerged that naturally has everything a good cake server should have. The special something, as usual, comes from Starck’s exceptional designs.
Apparently the “Ceci n’est pas une treulle” cake server reminds of a trowel as craftsmen and constructors use. This is not by chance, its name “Ceci n’est pas une treulle” proves it, it means as much as “This is not a trowel”.
Philippe Starck used the design of a famous instrument, the trowel, and brought it to a different area, with “Ceci n’est pas une treulle”. The functional use has thereby been slightly modified, but when one thinks about the trowel appearance, nearby a question emerges: why did nobody else have this idea before?
Regarding its quality, it is a wonderful cake server without a doubt. Not only the name Alessi stands for this, but also the high quality proceeding out of stainless steel and maple wood.
The French designer Philippe Patrick Starck is deemed to be the pop star under designers. He was born in the year 1949 in Paris and like no other he has coined the contemporaneous everyday culture with his design. Designer Philippe Starck
