Andrea is the first awarded air cleaner, which uses the natural characteristics of plants. Andrea Air cleans the air from dangerous components and is ozone free and energy-saving and more capable than the competitor.

Andreas futuristic optic stands in combination withh the also futuristic seeming, but from front to back thougt-through technology: Andrea uses the cleaning characteristics of the plants combines those with the filter system of earth and water. So a multi-level cleaning circulation is created, in which bad materials and toxic gases of the air are filtered and eliminated.

And that's how it works: The dirty air flows through the upper opening of the box to the plant. Then it will be contained by the plant, filtered and then dispenses it through the roots in the soil, where it attains through the water to the front outcome. There the air will be dispended fresh and clean in the room.

With this principle, Andrea cleans the air 10x faster than a normal room plant and is 40x more efficient than a usual HEPA or carbon filtre. Details about the scientific studies about the capacity by Andrea Air will you find in the attached PDF-data.

Andrea can be used in every room. Ideal is the air cleaner for rooms, which are used a lot and in which the air does not circulate a lot and bad materials can spread easily, just like dining room, living room, offices or bedrooms.

For the use with Andrea Air you can use common household plant. This offers the individual adjustment of the optic on the wished place. Some plants are very good for the use with Andrea Air, like Spathiphyllum, Dracaena marginita, Chlorophytum comosum and Aloe Vera.

Andrea Air is a cooperation product of the French designer Mathieu Lehanneur and Harvard Professor David Edwards. They designed the innovative air cleaner for an exhibition in Edwards’ „Le Laboratoire“, a art- and scientific centre in Paris.

Andrea Air is optically and functional thought-through and a large part on the way to the natural air cleaning. Andrea has been awarded wegen ihrer Qualitäten auch von dem Popular Science magazine als “Invention of the Year” ausgezeichnet und kurz darauf im Museum of Modern Art in New York ausgestellt.
