Bedding with gold accents
The Lepo bed linen from Marimekko is a high-quality manufactured, nobly designed eye-catcher on every bed. Whether on the pillow or the blanket: In any case, the motif forms a highlight of the furnishings, which carry beautiful memories of the past. The satin covers are made of 100% cotton and are therefore particularly cosy and cuddly.
The Lepo motif was designed by the Japanese Fujiwo Ishimoto, who emigrated to Finland in 1970. In 1974 he became a designer at the Finnish design company Marimekko in Helsinki. His abstract style brought Marimekko great success. So far, Ishimoto has designed more than 300 motifs for Marimekko .
The Lepo pattern is inspired by Ishimoto's memories of his childhood. As the son of a farming family, he helped work on the farm and, with the Lepo pattern, the tall grass where he used to lie down to rest from work.
