Ukkospilvi (German: Gewitterwolke) was designed by Fujiwo Ishimoto with loose brush strokes to a geometric grid rhythm. The pattern represents a coming change in the weather. Ishimoto is a master of many styles and techniques and has created countless successful designs for the Finnish manufacturer Marimekko over the course of many decades.
