Calvert is a reedited design from e15 , originally created in 1951 by designer and architect Ferdinand Kramer. Part of a series of "knock-down" furniture designed by Kramer in the USA in the 1950s, the Calvert coffee table is a functional design that inspires with an intelligent use of materials and simple construction.
Manufacture & Structure
Like a fabric pattern, the individual parts of the table are cut from plywood panels and then simply assembled. The coffee table consists of a tabletop and two interlocking elements that act as a base. Depending on how the modules of the base are aligned, the appearance of the sculptural coffee table varies, between a 4-leg and a cross base.
As part of the Kramer Edition from e15 , the Calvert coffee table is a unique piece of furniture that inspires with a timeless look.
Colors & Material
The custom coffee table is offered by e15 in oak veneer in a clear lacquered and different colored versions, which can be ordered on request.
As a feminine counterpart to Calvert, the coffee table is available in the same design, as Charlotte variant also with a round table top.
