Hay - Copenhague CPH90 Desk

Danish manufacturer Hay invited designer brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec to create a collection for the re-designed University of Copenhagen (KUA). The result is the Copenhague series, which consists of a chair, a bar stool and various tables. Copenhague CPH 90 desk is inspired by classic school furniture, but without their seriousness.

Hay and the Bouroullecs have tried to design furniture for an educational institution, with a form and identity that clearly belong to our time and meet the needs at a university. That is why the Copenhague desk is very functional, but without becoming too serious in expression.

Because the two designers were also concerned, with their Copenhague desk CPH90, to free themselves from the institutional and bureaucratic expression of traditional furniture in learning facilities, and to design objects with greater originality and a more homely feel. Hay manufactures the Copenhague desk in oak wood, other variants are available on request.
