The Danish manufacturer Hay invited designer brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec to create a collection for the re-designed University of Copenhagen (KUA). The result is the Copenhague series, which consists of a chair, a bar stool and various tables.
Hay and the Bouroullecs have tried to design furniture for an educational institution that, with its form and identity, clearly belongs to our time and meets the needs at a university. That is why the Copenhague CPH 30 dining table is very functional but without becoming too serious in expression.
Because the two designers were also concerned, with their Copenhague CPH30 dining table, to free themselves from the institutional and bureaucratic expression of traditional furniture in learning facilities, and to design objects with greater originality and a more homely feel.
Hay Manufactures the Copenhague dining table in wood, other variants are available on request.
