Simple Bench out of Oak Wood
The Hven bench is part of the same name series by Skagerak. The furniture is characterised by its lightness and minimalist design. Designed by the Swedish designer Anton Björsing, the Hven bench connects Sweden and Denmark in a creative way.
Design Marked by Lightness
The pieces of furniture from the series bring people together in the same way that Hven connects the two countries. Families meet at the dining table, sit close together on the Hven bench, and share food and stories about their day. This coming together is reflected by the design of the bench. The sturdy, solid oak wood has been finely and carefully processed, so that the rounded edges and curved surfaces create a balanced composition of light and heavy features.
Collaboration: Sweden & Denmark
Hven (Swedish Ven) is the small, idyllic island between Sweden and Denmark in the Öresund. Originally the island belonged to Denmark until Sweden took control of it over 350 years ago. The influence of the two countries, both of which can be seen from the shores of the island, can still be seen today, giving the island, which is known for art and culture, its very special charm. The island between Denmark and Sweden is linked by ferry to the two countries and represents a unique intercultural bridge.
