The Palissade bench by Hay was created from a design by the brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. The design doesn’t only look great, but it’s also practical enough to be an ideal piece of outdoor furniture.

Since the seat consists of individual slats, rainwater can easily drain away so the bench is able to stay outside when the weather is bad. The sleek design and the open shape blend in wonderfully with nature, so the Palissade bench looks good anywhere outside, offering a simple and weightless appearance. Despite the delicate look, the Hay bench is extremely robust and ideal for use outside thanks to the steel tubes.

Thanks to its optimal seat height of 45 cm, the bench isn’t just something to sit on when combined with a dining table, as it works wonderfully when by itself or put up against the house wall. About 3 people fit on the bench of 120 cm length on a comfortable barbecue evening.
