Paul Anker Hansen designed the wooden owl in 1960 with much love for detail. The animalistic figurine family from ArchitectMade has grown with another charming member, this owl.
Originally made from teak, the ArchitectMade Owl today has a classic Danish oak ‘plumage’ in natural and smoked versions. The head and body of the Owl are connected with magnets so its head can be pointed in multiple directions and assume new positions.
The charming Owl is a loving piece by designer Paul Anker Hansen, who describes the ‘birth’ of the Owl as the following:
‘One Sunday morning in 1960 I woke up with a clear image of the Owl in my head. The night before we had entertained guests and I got to bed late with a lot of coffee in my blood. That morning I finally solved the puzzle of the Owl, which had been on my mind for years.’
Entirely in keeping with designer Paul Anker Hansen’s intention, the Owl is today lovingly handmade by ArchitectMade in a Danish workshop.
