Artek celebrates some of the best-known designs of the brand in the ABC collection—such as the Stool 60, the well-known stool by designer Alvar Aalto—with prints and posters.
The stackable stool was designed by Alvar Aalto in 1933 and unites the basic ideals of functionalism. The simple idea behind the—now classically traded stool—is based on three curved feet and a round seat. The secret behind the success of the stool is the unique shaping of the legs, which ultimately became a trademark of the designer and his designs.
The poster focuses on a photograph of the stool. There are two original designs, stacked on top of each other, on which the signs of the times have not passed unnoticed.
As part of a series of iconic furniture, the stool joins the design chronology of Aalto. A timeline with well-known designs by the designer can be found as a stylistic drawing on the lower half of the poster.
With a standard size of 50 x 70 cm, you can protect the poster with a suitable frame from dust and moisture and place it comfortably in the home.
Further posters of the Stool 60 and other designs can be found in Artek's ABC collection.
