Poppy pattern by Maija Isola
The Unikko (poppy) pattern, which stands for creativity, was created at a time when floral patterns were rare in the Marimekko collections. Despite the trend, Maija Isola was fascinated by the floral theme and decided to develop a complete series with innovative floral prints.
