The Inca Stones blanket by Elvang Denmark combines Danish design with Peruvian materials and is created based on the principles of the UN Global Compact.
The Inca Stone blanket from Elvang Denmark consists of Peruvian alpaca and sheep wools. The fibres from which the blanket is produced have a thickness of 26-27 micrometres, while the blanket can only be dry cleaned. Weighing only 600 grams, it is light but soft and comfortable at the same time. The Inca Stones blanket has multiple shades of its base colour.
The Danish company Elvang strives to combine two worlds: the fine fibre of the Peruvian alpaca, and contemporary Danish design. The result is a high-end, stylish blanket that is also manufactured in accordance with the principles of the United Nations Global Compact.
Elvang Denmark is a member of the UN Global Compact, the largest network worldwide for companies which take on social responsibility. Elvang stands for its principles, including human rights, fair working conditions, environmental and landscape protection as well as action against corruption.
The growth of Peruvian communities is supported through the production of the Inca Stones blanket, and thus also the fight against poverty. The principles of the UN Global Compact simultaneously protect the alpacas, which have formed the basis of existence for rural Peruvians for centuries.
