Pillow Cover with Benefits The Pienet Kivet pattern from 1956 was the beginning for decades of successful collaboration between the designer Maija Isola and Marimekko
The simple pattern is highly modern and a great eye-catcher. The Pienet Kivet pattern isn’t really round, but it has some small edges, which are only recognised at second glance.
Designer Maija Isola was inspired by pebbles when designing this pattern, since the Finnish words ‘Pienet Kivet’ translates to ‘small stones’ in English. The original pattern from 1956 emerged from cuts that Maija Isola created with scissors. Her daughter Kristina downsized the pattern over the years, in order to make the textiles more powerful.
The minimalist shapes of the Marimekko Pienet Kivet cushion cover still create strong graphical effects. Made of 100% cotton, the Pienet Kivet cushion cover is soft and easy to clean. The Pienet Kivet cushion cover by Marimekko can be washed at 60˚C.
