robust and shapely meat knife
The Sarah Wiener meat knife is narrow, long and very pointed. This shape makes it ideal for cutting meat and flexible enough to cut thin slices. The meat knife is part of the Sarah Wiener knife series, which Sarah Wiener has developed together with the cutlery manufacturer Pott.
Each Sarah Wiener meat knife is handmade by Pott in 90 manual steps. Molybdenum-vanadium steel from Solingen and a nine-stage forging process make the blade particularly hard and rust-resistant as well as supple and resilient. The extremely sharp blade also means that fewer flavour carriers are destroyed when cutting meat.
Separate pre-grinding and fine grinding make the surfaces of the blade extremely smooth and close the pores of the steel. This creates a natural rust protection. In addition, the blades are made sharp through elaborate "hand honing" (sharpening and polishing by hand by the blade master) and cut testing for each knife.
The handle of the Sarah Wiener carving knife is made of the best plum wood and is a delight to hold in both shape and material. The plum wood comes from local sources and is ground and oiled by hand. The wide forged bolster of the bread knife is finger protection and at the same time an exact center of gravity. This allows the knife to work easily and without strain.
Please note: Due to the high-quality and sensitive materials, the Sarah Wiener meat knife from Pott must not be cleaned in the dishwasher.
