Cutlery in stylish design
Restraint and modesty characterise this clearly structured cutlery design. Compared to the more sweeping, lavish design language of the 1950s, it appears almost purist in the absolute conciseness of its formal elements. Carl Pott wrote about this cutlery to a friend: "It is to be a very well-behaved, conventional pattern, with which one can spoon, fork, cut."
The award of the State Prize of North Rhine-Westphalia for this cutlery was one of the highlights of Carl Pott's artistic career. The jury described this design "because of its simple timeless form as an exemplary work".
