The AJ Mini table lamp by Louis Poulsen is part of the AJ series of lamps by Arne Jacobsen, who designed the lamps back in 1957 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. In 2020, Louis Poulsen celebrates the 60th anniversary of the opening of the hotel with the relaunch of the AJ Mini table lamp. Compactly designed, the lamp is particularly practical and decorative in the windowsill or on the bedside table.

Made of die-cast zinc and steel with swivel head.

The profile of the AJ lamp is particularly convincing straight lines and the combination of oblique as well as right angles, and is thus related to the geometric profiles of the hotel. The luminaire is made of die-cast zinc and steel in many different colors. Painted white on the inside, the luminaire emits pleasant diffused light, which can be optimally adjusted in any situation thanks to the swiveling luminaire head. This creates at will both direct and directional, as well as soft and indirect light.

Arne Jacobsen was born and raised in Copenhagen. In 1927, he graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Art in Copenhagen as an architect.
