iF Award 2008
Not fusion, not retro, no „doing-as-if“: in the iFproduct design award 2008, the authenticity has the priority, said the Tenor of the jury chairman Fritz Frenkler. 50 of the 821 awarded got an iF gold award and celebrated their success the 4th March 2008, the opening day of the CeBIT.
More establishments, less awards: in the competition around the desired design award, the iF product design award 2008, 2,771 establishments out of 35 countries around the world were presented, 20.9% more than the previous year. 821 could be happy about an iF product design award and about being then on the current exposition of the fair grounds of Hanover.

Since more than 50 years, the iF Industrie Forum Design e.V. is based on the fairgrounds in Hannover. Originating out of the "special show of shapely industry creations” 1953, it was enlarged by the iF International Forum Design GmbH in 2001, being responsible for all business areas of the renowned iF award.
