Simple elegance, succeeded dimensions and the combination of high quality materials “made in Solingen” characterize the lantern „Tabula Nova“ from Carl Mertens. Its bright design and the pleasant light offer a comfortable atmosphere to summer evenings.

The design of the Tabula Nova lanterns was coined by Mario Taepper. Carl Mertens offers them in three sizes and each one with a bright of matt glass shade. The shade protects the flame inside from external influences and transforms the escaping light.

The bright shade makes it possible to recognize the light source and flame inside of it. The matt one however, transforms the escaping light into a soft shimmer and covers the real illuminant. Every Tabula Nova lantern consists of glass and high quality stainless steel “made in Solingen”.
