In the traditional Japanese travelling guests’ houses, every guest wears a Kimono without pockets and the objects that one normally carries with one are placed in extra containers named Kibolu. Fritz Frenkler took this idea for his containers for Auerberg.
The emerged container Kibolu is a station for the whole daily life assortment: mobile phone, keys, pens, charging cables and so on. And every container thereby is a masterwork. Kibolu is made out of birch wood, whereby the round edge-pieces are made out of six glued birch veneer.
Fritz Frenkler graduated with a degree in industrial design from the academy of fine arts braunschweig. Fritz Frenkler worked then for Frogdesign Germany and USA. In 1986, he set up and led Frogdesign Asia. Designer Fritz Frenkler
