For ambitionated hobby cooks and private gourmets
After eight years of developing time, Alessi presents ond of the long and ambitious design object of the dream factory in 1986: the pot series La Cintura di Orione. The goal was to develop a series of high quality cook pots, which fulfils the requirements, wishes and, manual skills of the different cook- and group of buyers.
Who could stand advisingly sidewards, as competend cooking profi? So it happened that Alessi cut its own path as first business of the cooperation work between manufacturers and head cook 23 years ago. Under counsel of famous caterers and cooks, all ahead Gualtiero Marchesi designed Richard Sapper a high quality set of pans, pots, casserolls and sauteuses, which is produced in three versions.
The original version for the private gourmet was made of a thick walled copper with a cover of stainless steel. Unexcelled in its conductibility this belays, according to Alberto Alessi „under the brand name >Officina Alessi, a leading position in the branch“.
Later the series was completed by a version of pressed and coated thick walled aluminium with non-stick coating. This lays pricely under the classic copper version, but is also very capable.
The new multiply-version is made of highclose aluminium-core, which is coated by different stailess steel-alloys. The outter coat is made of AISI 430-Steel, the inner, which comes in contact with food, made of stainless steel 18/10. Functional comes this new version of the unbeatable heat conductance of the copper-steel-version close. But it is also useable for induction stoves and can easily be cleaned.
In 2009 the new Multiply-version of the Alessi La Cintura di Orione pot series won the readers prize White Star in gold, which is awarded by the magazines Schöner Wohnen, Essen&Trinken and Living at Home.
