Vitra - Hal Wood Stuhl, Eiche / Weiß Icon

The Hal Wood chair was created by the designer Jasper Morrison as a part of the Hal collection for Vitra. The modern shell chair possesses a wooden under frame of oak wood and it is multifunctional usable – in offices, public or private areas.

Jasper Morrison reinterpreted the classic shell chair with the Hal Wood chair. A multifunctional chair with a clear and contemporaneous expression emerged. The form of the shell offers a lot of elbowroom and the slightly yielding plastic enables different sitting positions – also sideward’s or astride. This is how Hal encourages a dynamic and ergonomic sitting.

The under frame of the Wood chair from Vitra is available in bright and dark oak wood. The different colours of the sitting shell enable an easy integration of the chair in every furnishing.

Design: Jasper Morrison

Jasper Morrison was born in London in 1959, and graduated in Design at Kingston Polytechnic Design School, London (1979-82 BA(Des.) ) and The Royal College of Art for Post Graduate studies (1982-85 MA(Des.) RCA). In 1984 he studied at Berlin’s HdK on a Sc Designer Jasper Morrison
