Magis - Spun Chair

Swing, seesaw or simply relax – with Spun from Magis not a problem. The chair combines seat, backrests and frame in one unique spinning top design. Thomas Heatherwick designed the rotating circle-chair Spun for Magis.

The base of Spun is a small curcle that becomes a seat at its top. Another ring between the spinning top and the seat avoids the tilting of the chair. Once seated in it, Spun becomes a swinging adventure: it turns, seesaws if desired from one side to another or stays a quite chair to relax. Fine lines at the outside emphasize the dynamic appearance.

Magis manufactures Spun out of polyethylene. Because of the robust plastic, the pegtop is adapted for inside and outside. A rubber coating under the chair furthermore protects the ground. The chair is produced by Magis in red, purple, dark purple and yellow.
