Today the Block Lamp belongs to the design classics and is known all over the world.

In 1996, designed by the Finish designer Harri Koskinen, the Block Lamp is since 2000 in the constant collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).

Since entering of the Block Lamp through the business Design House Stockholm, the lamp was awarded with many design prizes - e.g with the Excellent Swedish Design (1998), the Design Plus Award (1999) or the Best New Product at the Accent Show in New York (1999), just to name some of them.

the Block Lamp is made of handmade clear glass, which is finsihed in a complex cooling process and gives the lamp its typical illusory mpression of a ice block. The two glass halfs enclose the illuminant (E 12 - 230V/15 W) and cater for a harmonic lighting on the table or as floor lamp in hallway or living room. Optional a wall mounting out of painted iron for the Block Lamp, with which the lamp becomes a unique wall lamp, can be ordered.

Becasue of the 10th anniversary the Design House Stockholm published the lamp with different-coloured, textile-coated electro-cables (red, white and black).
