Componibili made of recyclable material
Kartell's Componibili were designed by Anna Castelli Ferrieri back in 1969 and are today among the most famous designs by the Italian manufacturer. The containers can be placed in all areas of the house: in the bathroom, in the bedroom, in the kitchen and in the living room as well as in the children's room. The Componibili are design classics with decades of tradition, which have won much recognition for their conciseness and innovation in design and have long since rolled into the permanent exhibition of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre George Pompidou in Paris.
With the Bio version Kartell presents the iconic classic with a completely new material concept and thus keeps up with the times. The Componibili 5970 with a height of 58.5 cm and a diameter of 32 cm has three drawers and is available in different colours.
Made of 100% biodegradable plastic
Componibili Bio is made entirely from BIO-ON bioplastics. The natural plastic is 100% biodegradable and is obtained from vegetable waste. The plastic is therefore one of the renewable raw materials. From a technical point of view, bioplastics are not plastics. As they contain microorganisms, they have the same properties and thermomechanical properties as plastics and are therefore easy to process in production.
"Cartel loves the planet"
The Componibili Bio are part of the project "Kartell loves the planet". The project aims to improve best practices through sustainability and to reduce the environmental impact of the production process. All raw materials used in "Kartell loves the planet" products are fully recyclable and can therefore be reused in new products.
