About a Chair by Hay is a collection with outstanding simplicity in design. With it, the designer Hee Welling compassed a new level in the combination of shape, function, comfort, detail, and aesthetic.
The chairs are aware of being simple and plain and can therefore be combined without any problems with other furniture and surroundings.
According to the ideas of designer Hee Welling the About a Chair-chairs should feel as at home in a restaurant or cafeteria, as in an office, at a dining table or in a conference room. In this context, the idea of simplicity became a guarantor for functionality and combinability.
The About a Chair AAC 22 has armrests and a wooden four-foot frame. The upholstered seat consists of thoroughly dyed polypropylene, the frame out of beech wood with soaped oak wood or stained ash veneer. A cushion is optionally available.
Moreover About a Chair by Hay is also combinable with other seats and bases, e.g. as AAC 20 with a swivel aluminium base or as AAC 23 with upholstery: The seats and bases of the AAC series make up numerous combinations that will never act unwanted or by chance. We will gladly advise you for your personal configurations. Also in our blog:
