The Jalousi sideboard from Normann Copenhagen is a modern version of the classic cupboards with sliding doors that are so often found in offices and workrooms. The Jalousi sideboard has been reworked to such an extent that it also looks good in the living area and has lost nothing of the practical advantages of the rolling cabinets. The design was created by Simon Legald, who was inspired by wristwatches, conveyor belts and 50's furniture for the Jalousi series.
Scandinavian oak sideboard with sliding doors
The blind sideboard consists of an oak veneer body with solid oak feet and the practical roller doors are made of plastic. The combination of the different materials and the door elements give the sideboard a fresh, masculine look. When the doors are pushed to the side, the sideboard opens and presents itself in its Scandinavian simplicity with a natural wood look and four compartments.

The shapely sideboard with adjustable shelves can be used wherever storage space is needed. Folders, office supplies, pens, magazines, vases, photo albums, glasses, books and porcelain are discreetly stowed away in the sideboard, which looks good in the living room and bedroom as well as the hallway or dining room.
A minimalist design language combined with a high-contrast mixture of materials characterise the series, Jalousi, which consists of a sideboard and a chest of drawers in two sizes.
