Round Table with Column Base
Columns have long been an integral part of architecture, and for just as long they have often served as a source of inspiration for designers and architects. This is also true for designer Simon Legald, who designed the Scala designed tables for Normann Copenhagen . As a tribute to the structural significance of the column, Legald emphasizes the columnar form within the otherwise simple design. The table’s frame consists of four columns, whose appearance changes depending on the viewer’s perspective. This sturdy steel base supports a round tabletop made of oak veneer, marble, or stainless steel.
Versatile Use
Available in various sizes and materials, the Scala table is suitable as a coffee table in the living room, a side table in the hallway, for the whole family in the dining room, or even for a café. The different sizes can also be combined beautifully.
