As mono A was launched in 1959, it revolutionized the cutlery world by dispensing with any decorative design elements. mono A was designed by Prof. Peter Raacke and represents one of the most consistent achievements in industrial design.
mono Awas stamped from a single piece of stainless steel - a so-called monoblock - from which its name is derived. Today, the knife is made of two steels: the handle of a stainless steel, the blade of a high quality hardened steel.
At that time still avant-garde, is mono A has since become a classic of table culture - it combines noble design with the highest quality of workmanship.
