Expressive floor lamp
Inspired by the seductive shape of a female braid, designer Marc Sadler created the sculptural lamp series Tress for Foscarini, which creates a diffuse play of light and shadow with its interwoven lampshade.
Light & shadow
The design of the Tress floor lamp is composed of randomly interwoven strips made of fiberglass and synthetic resin, which in combination result in an arbitrary network. The power cable is woven into the network, which is an interplay of different surfaces, and thus presents itself as an integral part of the luminaire.
The light
The special structure of the lamp or lampshade creates a unique play of light and shadow. The light can be variably dimmed and adapted to different situations and atmospheres. With two light sources, below and above, Tress shines both inside and out with a semi-diffuse light.
Material & Colors
The Tress floor lamp by Foscarini is made of a composite material of lacquered glass fibers. In two different sizes and the different colors: white, black and red, the Tress floor lamp appears either discreetly elegant, masculine present or with a fiery look.
