The Birdy floor lamp by Northern is a re-edition of the classic lamp designed by the Norwegian designer Birger Dahl in 1952. Even back then the modern yet slightly playful design fascinated people, so much so that in 1954 the light was awarded the gold medal at the Milan Triennale.
In terms of design and functionality, the 2013 re-edition by Northern is just like the original and still impresses today with its unique features: The Birdy floor lamp has a conically shaped head, which is held by a delicate frame. The lamp owes its name to its design that is reminiscent of a bird with a bowed head.
Thanks to the two joints of the frame, the lamp can be adjusted so that the cone of the light can be directed according to individual lighting needs. The lamp is ideal next to the armchair where it offers excellent light to read or in the corridor, emitting a bright light that creates a welcoming and cosy atmosphere.
The Birdy floor lamp by Northern lighting is available in a combination of different colours.
