Pendant light in homage to the moon
For more than two decades, inventor and designer Alexander Lervik has been combining concept design with unusual innovations. For Design House Stockholm he has designed what at first glance appears to be a simple pendant luminaire, which on closer inspection is a homage to the most primal of all light sources at night. Its name makes even the last doubters realize that the luminaire is an image of the moon. Luna that the luminaire is an image of the moon.
Made of glass and transparent acrylic
With the Luna a unique pendant luminaire that casts no shadows, just pure, uninterrupted light. Other pendant lights are interrupted by metal or plastic covers for the cables, Luna In contrast, the light from the acrylic cable and suspension shines through. This minimalist luminaire looks particularly good above the dining table or as ceiling lighting in hallways and living rooms.
An extravagant and unusual pendant luminaire can be transformed into a Luna with the separately available Kosmos suspension , which was also designed by Alexander Lervik.
