Pendant light from hemispheres
The pendant luminaire Butterfly by Toni Rie for Frandsen consists of three half-domes arranged in an inverted manner. The spherical shapes of the half-domes create an interplay between the round lines of the lamp. The upper dome has discrete holes to allow the soft light to diffuse upwards, while the frosted surface of the lower dome emits an atmospheric and soft light, resulting in Butterfly makes for great lighting in a variety of settings.
The luminaire Butterfly is available in a variety of colours, all inspired by natural materials and an enthusiasm for the Nordic design language. Toni Rie has taken inspiration from the colours of leaves on trees and reeds on a lakeside. The colours are slightly matt and give the pendant lights a soft and inviting look.
