Birdy is a series of lights from Northern , which was already created in 1952 by the Norwegian designer Birger Dahl. In 1954 the table lamp, then known under the somewhat unwieldy name "s-30016", was awarded the highly appreciated gold medal at the Milan Triennale. In 2013, Northern decided to re-edition the lamp series, without neglecting the original form and unique features of the original.
The design of the table lamp is characterized by its almost cylindrical shade, which is held by a filigree, two-part frame and therefore reminds of the silhouette of a bird. The table lamp owes its current name to this association.
With the help of the two joints, the light head can be easily directed in the desired direction and emits light where it is needed. The bright zone light, for example, illuminates the desk while working or provides atmospheric lighting in any room when placed on the side table or chest of drawers.
Available is the Birdy Table lamp in different coloured lacquers and metal frames in metallic, brass or black.
