Table lamp with steel wire upright frame
The Wire table lamp designed in 1972 by Verner Panton is part of an originally very comprehensive series of table and floor lamps. Today Verpan produces the table lamps according to Panton's designs made of chrome-plated steel wire and a hemispherical plastic lampshade. The light source (E14 for Ø 30 cm or E 27 for Ø 40 cm) inside the construction is surrounded by a metal reflector which directs the light to the inside of the screen and thus produces a diffuse light.
The steel wire frame, which rises up cylindrically at the foot, winds itself to a hemisphere open at the top on the opposite side of the hemispherical plastic umbrella, rounding off the spherical look. The table lamp, which imitates the iconic shape of a light bulb, is available in two sizes. Verpan offers the Wire table lamps with a transparent cable (L 220 cm) with On/Off switch.
Every Verpan product comes with a certificate of authenticity. This certificate guarantees that it is an original product, which is still manufactured today according to the strict quality specifications of Verner Pantons by Verpan.
