As early as 1952, the Norwegian designer Birger Dahl laid the foundation stone for the successful lamp series Birdy laid. Even back then, the lamps were already inspiring with their special design and outstanding functionality, so that the series was awarded the gold medal at the Milan Triennale in the 1950s.
In 2013 Northern took on the re-edition of the series, whereby the lamps have lost none of the outstanding features of the originals. Like the rest of the series, the wall lamp impresses with its conically shaped light head, which can be moved to the desired position according to need and preference. The silhouette of the wall lamp is reminiscent of a bird with its head lowered, which ultimately led to the name of the series.
The shape of the shade provides direct light that brightly illuminates the area below. Thus the Birdy Wall light, for example, is excellent as a night light mounted next to the bed or as lighting in the corridor. With its elegant yet playful design, the wall light enhances any ambience and also sets brilliant accents.
Available is the Birdy Wall light from Northern in a combination of different colours.
