Georg Jensen - Alfredo Steel Container with lid
The steel containers are part of the Alfredo Häberli collection from Alfredo Häberli and Georg Jensen. The storage glasses lie good in the hands because of their ergonomic form and possess a clear appearance with an oak wood lid.
Georg Jensen manufactures the Alfredo Containers out of stainless steel. With their un-transparent wall, they are ideally adapted to store food stuff that shouldn’t be near sunshine, such as coffee or tea. A silicone ring under the stainless steel container lid closes it airtight.
The idea of the Alfredo collection by Alfredo Häberli was it to equip objects of the everyday life with special materials and forms so that the daily rituals can be enjoyed more. Manufactured out of numerous modern materials such as porcelain, silicone, steel, oak wood and glass, each article of the Alfredo series is versatile and completely functional.

This is a strikingly attractive container. It matches my Oliver Hemming Nio tea and coffee sets, and makes a lovely display piece when not being used to serve nuts &c. I would give it five stars, but for an irritating imperfection in the lid of at least my container: the lid is always slightly skewed, and no matter how one rotates it the circle of the lid and the circle of the container don't line up. This shouldn't make much of a difference, and it probably can't be seen, but one feels the misalignment immediately on picking it up. More than one person has picked it up in admiration only to fixate immediately on trying to twist the lid into the 'right fit'. It's nonetheless a wonderful item, and I am very glad to have it.
