About a Chair by Hay is a collection with outstanding simplicity in design. With it the designer Hee Welling compassed a new level in the combination of shape, function, comfort, detail, and esthetic.

The chairs are aware of being simple and plain and can because of that be combined without any problems with other furnitures and surroundings. After the association of designer Hee Welling the About a Chair-chairs should feel home in the restaurant or in the cafeteria, and also in the office, on the homely eating table or the conference table. In this context the idea of the simplicity became a guarantor for functionality and •combinability.

About a Chair is a chair series, which can not only be combined with other furnitures, but also with each other, because all seat shells and frames can be put together how you like it. The perfection and esthetic is achieved and the chairs seem accidentally and unmeant.
