The glass series Glass Family, which was designed by the world famous designer Jasper Morrison for A di Alessi, is a combination of the special beginning of the designer and the concept of A di Alessi:

The todays products, which surround us, are a solution of design in "small moves". Over generations, designers changed small spects of objects with a view to shape and function and created through that our todays standard. Jasper Morrison works after this beginning. Created were products which are as easy to work with as the cutlery series "Knifeforkspoon" or the glasses of "Glass Family", but still don't lose sight of high quality design.

This design reflects the philosophy of A di Alessi - the creation of a democratic design. The "anti-glamorous" design by Jasper Morrison and the out of that coming normality of his products have a cooled simplicity.

The glasses of Glass Family follow this idea and seem less "formal" as other glasses at first sight, but give the whole set table because of its ambitious plainness a very special elegance.

The glasses are dish-washer safe.

Design: Jasper Morrison

Jasper Morrison was born in London in 1959, and graduated in Design at Kingston Polytechnic Design School, London (1979-82 BA(Des.) ) and The Royal College of Art for Post Graduate studies (1982-85 MA(Des.) RCA). In 1984 he studied at Berlin’s HdK on a Sc Designer Jasper Morrison
