Wie eine scheinbar zufällige Ansammlung von Objekten vereint das Tafelservice Tonale des englischen Architekten David Chipperfield verschiedene Komponenten der Tischkultur und kreiert genau dadurch elegante coherence.

Tonale was inspired by the traditional ceramic of Korea, Japan and China. The concept of David Chipperfield understands itself as experiment of functional household article. The name Tonale gives credit for the painter Giorgio Morandi Tribut, which inspired through the use of colour shadings of daily objet the distinctive individuality.

The objects of the series are made of the most different materials like enamelled steel, glass, argil and wood. Defiance of the ambition to demonstrative simplicity concideres the table cultery Tonale also todays wish for ontinuance and variety.

More parts of the cultery series Tonale are available on request, e.g. a tray, a carafe, a large bowl and a glass. Parts of the series are also available in the colours pale yellow, dark grey, white earth, white yellow, dark green, light earth and red earth.
