Timeless Design Classic
The Vitra Eames Plastic Chairs are among the absolute classics of interior design. In 1950, the Eames chair was the first serially produced plastic chair in furniture history, making it more than just a piece of furniture - but a piece of cultural history. The versatile chair can be assembled with a wide variety of seat shells and bases. a genuine all-rounder in residential and commercial areas.
Classic Shape - New Seat Height
Many different variations of the Eames Plastic Side Chair (Dining Height Side Chair Wooden Base) are produced by Vitra, including chairs in different colours and with different frames. Therefore, the chair can be personalised according to individual visions. Since 2015, the frame has been available with a new height of 43 cm. This is Vitra’s response to the increased average body size since first going into production in 1950. With its adjusted height, the Plastic Side Chair by Charles and Ray Eames offers even more seating comfort.
The classic model with a seat height of 41 cm is available here. Since the difference in height is only small, "old" and "new" versions of the chair can still be mixed without any problems.
Contemporary Chair with Upholstery
The DAR version is available fully upholstered in various colours. The organically shaped seats offer great comfort thanks to the padding, which also introduces a homely atmosphere.
The 13 colours of the reference material Hopsak can be combined freely with the 8 seat shell colours. Together with the substructures, this results in a great number of unique combinations.
