Description

Piña is a Magis collection created by designer Jaime Hayón. The unusual design features a seat construction that reminds us of a pineapple with its honeycomb structure, giving it its name (piña means pineapple in Spanish).

The first Piña Chair was designed in 2011. A painted steel wire seat rests on a massive base made of oak wood. The delicate shape of the design is combined with a cushion for the seat and the backrest and it therefore ensures pleasant sitting comfort.

The Piña design by Jaime Hayón is a game of opposites: delicate and massive, hard and soft and coloured and natural elements come together for an innovative Magis collection.

The coloured polyester lacquered steel wire frame, which can be combined with different bases (made of wood or steel) for exciting chair variants such as a lounger, a swinging chair or an armchair is characteristic for the Piña models.

Different variants are also available with suitable, coloured bases.

The design by Jaime Hayón is shown during its production process. The Piña chair for Magis as well as other furniture got their name thanks to the characteristic wire structure that makes them such distinctive objects.
