Designer Thomas Bentzen says about his chair: " Cover was born out of the desire to create a comfortable and contemporary wooden armchair. I wanted a fresh and lively look in the plywood, while achieving a stable and down-to-earth expression for the frame."

After three years of trial and error and hard work, the result is the Muuto Cover chair, a light yet strong armchair that takes the play with wood veneer to the extreme: A layer of wood is folded around the armrests, a playful, subtle detail that is only made possible by modern woodworking techniques - and was actually born out of necessity. Initially developed without the eponymous " Cover ", designer Thomas Bentzen realized that the chair's armrests were too narrow and uncomfortable. Thanks to the addition of this small detail, the Cover chair offers optimum comfort.

Muuto manufactures the Cover chair entirely from oak wood. The wood folded around the armrest also serves as an attachment for the legs. On request, the Muuto Cover chair is available in colored and upholstered versions. Just like the natural wood version, the colored version of the chair also impresses with its naturalness - as the grain of the wood is not covered by the "varnish".
