Eames Plastic Side Chair DSW with full padding
The Eames Plastic Side Chair DSW by Charles & Ray Eames for Vitra is in the fully upholstered version a particularly comfortable seat for private use and also ideal for public areas. The classic among the chairs was designed by the Eames couple as early as 1950 and consists of an organic plastic seat shell and a four-legged wooden base. The combination of wood, plastic and full upholstery provides a certain warmth and a particularly homely touch in any room.
The DSW with full upholstery is available in many different colours and variations to suit every ambience and taste. The stackable four-legged frame is made of maple or ash wood, stained and varnished in various colours. The struts are made of round steel in basic dark. The solid-coloured seat shell is made of polypropylene and is available in various colours. The fully upholstered version consists of a moulded polyurethane foam upholstery covered with fabric and attached to the shell with a piping. Together with the underframes, this results in a wide range of possible combinations.
