Loving nodding wooden figure
An Hoptimist made of wood - just as designer Gustav Ehrenreich originally intended it. For this reason, Lotte Steffensen has designed the Woody Bumble redesigned.
Ehrenreich, who created Hoptimist in the 1960s, was a trained cabinetmaker. From the very beginning, his greatest wish was to make the Hoptimist en, which has since matured into a classic, out of wood, but this was not possible with the techniques of the time. However, time worked in favour of this development: to realise Ehrenreich's dream, the cheerful bimbles are now also available in wood.
Design meets craftsmanship
It is a piece of genuine handicraft, a high quality product, assembled entirely by hand. The oak wood comes from sustainable European forests. The natural material gives each Hoptimist en its unique appearance. A special detail: the eyes are inlaid in Wengé wood and give the figure its vividness.
