Multi-Tiered Garden for the Balcony
Urban gardening – that’s the main phrase of the urbanature products and each product embodies the phrase. Designer Jörg Brachmann created a garden for small places – completely naturally. The unusual garden was honoured with the Trend-Product-Award for sustainability and design in 2013 – well-deservedly.
Plant your herbs, vegetables, or flowers over each other in the planting pots of the “vertical garden.” It is a frame made of oiled, longevity oak wood of sustainable foresting which keeps plants on top of each other. It was built like an accordion and it can be folded and stored without the need of much space after the planting season has ended and snow is knocking on the door. The frame displays a cross-like pattern from the side when it is unfolded. This structure ensures the high stability of the object. The space saving construction is suitable for the kitchen or the living room as well when it’s cold outside.
The white boxes are made of PETG plastic and they present your flowers and herbs with modest elegance. They are robust and light. The pointed boxes spread light equally to plants at the base and the top. Each vertical garden is made by hand. The natural material harmonises with even the most different balcony and terrace possibilities, including balcony furniture.
The vertical garden by urbanature is available in three sizes – with two, four, and sex planting pots. It came within the top five at the Green Product Awards 2013/2014 in the category “Newcomer Furniture.”
