If you want to design cushions for chair classics of the 20th century, you shouldn’t ignore the Toy chair by Philippe Starck. This chair was presented by Driade in 1999 and it is already a classic piece today.
This means that it is logical for the German company Hey Sign to design a cushion out of the beautiful felt material for the Toy chair, completing the high design demand of the chair with its minimal expression. The anti-slip coating offers additional comfort so that the user won’t need to place the cushion back on the chair every time he moves.
The advantages of the material, which is re-growing and extremely environment protecting therewith, are long known form Hey Sign. The company out of Meerbusch works with felt since 1999, creating a collection which is continuously growing.
The felt material as well as of all the Hey Sign products is “Made in Germany”, the completion of the products is even “handmade”. The used felt consists of 100% of pure new wool without additional chemistry or recycled textiles, which is documented by the wool seal of approval. By the way, Hey Sign is the first and only felt manufacturer, whose products are certified according to the strict guidelines of “The Woolmark Company”.
Hey Sign offers the cushions out of felt with and without anti-slip coating, as well as in many different colours. Moreover there are also double cushions (two cushions are sewed together) available with and without filling material.
