As part of the luminaire series by Pouls Heningsen for Louis Poulsen , the PH 3½-2½ floor lamp - just like the pendant luminaires - impresses with an intelligently designed lampshade that ensures pleasantly diffuse light.

The lampshade was designed based on the principle of a reflective three-shade system, so that most of the light is directed downwards and thus emitted without glare. Made of mouth-blown, opalized glass and with a matt inner surface, the luminaire promotes diffuse light distribution. This makes the Louis Poulsen floor lamp a welcome companion in the living area, where it creates a cozy atmosphere next to the sofa or armchair.

Equipped with an E27 socket, the luminaire can be fitted with a light source of your choice so that the light color, temperature and brightness can be individually determined.

Architecture and light: Poul Hennigsen

Poul Henningsen was born in Copenhagen, the son of the famous Danish actress Agnes Henningsen. He did not graduate as an architect, but studied at the Frederiksberg Technical School from 1911-1914 and then at the Technical College in Copenhagen from 1914-17. He also began to apply traditional functionalist architecture. However, his professional interest soon focused mainly on lighting design - and that is what he is famous for.
