Pendant lamp in satin opal glass
The pendant light A 440 is the sister of the classic Golden Bell pendant light. Both products were designed by the Finnish designer and architect Alvar Aalto for the company Artek . In contrast to the Golden Bell, the A 440 is made of silky opal glass. The generated light penetrates the lampshade accordingly soft and creates a pleasant atmosphere.
Designed in 1954, the pendant lamp A 440 can almost be considered a new interpretation of the Golden Bell from the 1930s. Common to both lamps is their organic shape with straight and flowing lines. The unobtrusive design also makes the pendant luminaire A 440 a timeless classic.
The light of the lamp gently penetrates the silky matt glass shade and creates a pleasant atmosphere. The shade of the luminaire is open towards the floor, so that areas underneath are attractively illuminated.
A contact plug to the ceiling and a white plastic cable are included in the scope of delivery of the pendant luminaire A 440 . For operation, Artek recommends a bulb with E27 base and a maximum power of 11 watts.
