Spherical pendant luminaire
Inspired by the multifaceted beauty of nature, designer Øivind Slaatto created the Patera lamp for Louis Poulsen. A spherical, handmade pendant luminaire, which creates a special lighting atmosphere with its many openings.
Inspired by nature
"The Patera was created out of my fascination with the Fibonacci sequence. The spiral pattern can be found everywhere in nature - for example in seed formations such as sunflowers and fir cones - and has inspired some of the greatest artists in history, such as Leonardo da Vinci and Johann Sebastian Bach". Øivind Slaatto
New type of chandelier
The elegant Patera lamp is designed as a new type of chandelier. The Louis Poulsen lamp, according to designer Slaatto, "should unite the room and make the stay in it more human.
The spherical Patera pedal light is a special eye-catcher in any ambience. Majestically it floats in the room, where its special silhouette distributes an even light. The special design of the luminaire is decisive for the light distribution. The various openings and angles of the lamp ensure a glare-free and soft light.
Size & Material
The Patera pendant lamp is handmade from white plastic. With a diameter of Ø 60 cm, the luminaire is a present eye-catcher that provides pleasant lighting accents in the entrance area, in public facilities or in the living area.
Equipped with an E27/E26 lampholder, the Patera luminaire can be fitted with various light sources. In addition, the Patera is also available with an integrated LED solution on request.
